LICENSES
On Tuesday, January 3, 2017, the New York State Police announced that a new system
is available to allow individuals who hold a pistol / revolver license to recertify their licenses
as required by NY state law. There is no cost for the recertification, and individuals who prefer
not to use the on-line system may submit a paper form by mail. The paper form will be available
at any NY State Police sub-station or can be downloaded and printed from the following URL-
https://troopers.ny.gov/Firearms/PPB-2.pdf
Individual that were issued their pistol / revolver license prior to January 15, 2013 must recertify
by January 31, 2018 as is required by the present NY State Penal Law.
Additional information can be found by visiting the following URL-

and reading that sites frequently asked questions (FAQ).
THE RECERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT EXISTS AS A RESULT OF THE
NYS LEGISLATURE PASSING THE unSAFE ACT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT.
However - our position is unchanged---
Supports-
Making New York State a "Right to Carry State"
Uniform Statewide Laws that apply to ALL Residents
and
A 2nd Amendment Interpretation that applies to all citizens that pass a NICS background check and ensures
the right to "keep and bear arms" as stated in the Constitution of the United States of America,
unchanged, unamended, and unrestricted.
